Four ways to measure the love of Christ from the cross: 1) By the magnitude of the evil from which the beloved is rescued 2) By the measure of guilt that had to be overcome to love the beloved 3) By the depth of suffering of the act of love itself 3) By the magnitude of the gift obtained through the suffering.
