I just wanted to tell someone about this. So - to all two of you that read this, here you go...
Usually for me, trips to the mailbox are filled with great expectation and anticipation followed quickly by sadness when all I find in my little mailbox are bills.
However, yesterday was different. I got a real, live, actual letter in the mail. That in itself is amazing. However - the person who I got the real, live, handwritten letter from was...Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Woo-hoo!!
For those of you who don't know her, just pretend to be excited for me! :) She is the author of a book that I love called, "Lies Women Believe." (you could just Google her to find out more...)
Anyways, I know what you're thinking, "Probably it was her secretary that wrote the note to you on her behalf." That's what I thought at first, but the handwritten address on the outside of the envelope was definitely different from the writing on the little card. (do you love how much I'm analyzing this?) :) That leads me to believe that she probably wrote the card and had her secretary address it and mail it - TO ME!! :)
Anyways, I probably won't be scrap booking this letter - but it will reside on our fridge for months to come, I'm sure! :)

Pet Peeve...
I have a pet peeve - being "shushed" ranks at the top of my "Most Annoying Things You Could Ever Do To Someone" list. Especially if you are being "shushed" by someone who talks exceeding louder and longer than you do.

Biblical Womanhood...
My husband has presented me with a challenge. In about a month or so, he will be going through Biblical Manhood with the guys in our GAP (Graduates and Professionals) Sunday School Class. He would like me to teach through Biblical Womanhood with the gals in our group. Do any of you have any suggestions of topics that you see the need to be addressed as far as the subject of Biblical Womanhood goes. Any books you would recommend? Any input that you would be willing to share would be helpful! I am looking forward to going through this with our GAP girls. It should be a learning experience for everyone involved! :)

A lot to catch up on...
So, I guess that I have alot to blog about. I can't believe it's already the second week in January!
Christmas day was great! My loving family and husband got me MANY wonderful gifts! They are too good to me. My awesome brother got me an ipod nano. My wonderful in-laws got me an espresso machine (I am FOREVER grateful, and so is Dave who now makes me a latte every morning - such a good hubby!). Dave got me a KitchenAid mixer! My parents got me a bunch of stuff - they are so giving - some gift cards, a Steelers scarf (go steelers!!), and a Josh Groban CD.
The best Christmas present that my parents gave me was the fact that they came out for Christmas. We had such a great time! It had been too too long since I had seen them last. Having family around is a great excuse to take in some sights! :) We saw the Ronald Reagan Library (HIGHLY recommend it!), went to Santa Monica, spent a day in Solvang (a traditional Danish town), went to Hollywood (it's really not all that great), hung out in Burbank for a day (my favorite town!), and saw all the Christmas lights in Griffith Park (where the Hollywood sign is). We had such a great time! I can't wait til they come back!
Dave and I spent our third anniversary (on Jan 1st) not doing too much! After my parents left, it was nice to spend a day relaxing. We relaxed on the beach in Santa Monica, got a little sunburnt, and went to Bubba Gump for dinner. It was wonderful! :)
Seminary just started for Dave today *sigh*. Reality strikes again. I am now counting down the days til May 9th.
